look at this link metagame.com

anyone have any idea how the deck combo works? How did the wolverine get so big until 50 attack?
Ike E Bear
Characters
1 Dick Grayson <> Nightwing, High-Flying Acrobat
1 Tim Drake <> Robin, The Boy Wonder
8 GCPD Officer
2 thing.gif , Heavy Hitter
2 ghostrider.gif
4 wolverine.gif , New Fantastic Four
4 Crystal
4 Alfred Pennyworth

Plot Twists
1 Foiled
1 Ka-Boom!
4 Bat-Signal
4 Mega-Blast
4 Flying Kick
4 Savage Beatdown
2 Blind Sided
1 World?s Finest
1 Marvel Team-Up
4 Team Tactics
4 Cosmic Radiation
4 Fizzle

The article said the deck's pilot ended one game on turn four with a 50 ATK wolverine.gif .
As for how that can happen ...
wolverine.gif has 8 ATK.
If he plays two Savage Beatdowns, a Flying Kick and a Mega-Blast (unlikely, but possible), he's 25 ATK.
Play Cosmic Radiation to ready him (I'm not sure if that's even allowed ... the attack mightn't even be legal if he does that) and then Team Tactics himself to give him 50 ATK.
So in the end you'd need a minimum of seven cards from 12 cards drawn (not count one or two you could nab with Alfred, or the cards you would have seen if you mulliganed in the first place) ... and hope like hell there's no Sticky Situation, Fast Getaway, Swift Escape or similar.

Seems a bit too cute to me.

Edit - I've just checked the Comprehensive Rules and it looks like once the legality of an attack is checked at the start of the Attack Sub-Step, if it passes that check, the legality will not be checked again.
So maybe it does work.

The Cosmic Radiation and team tactics combo is legal.

Just think of it in the Roy Harper, TTG abuse combo. Same thing.

TheDarkAlliance
Never mind me.

that isn't a really efficient combo isn't it,considering that there is so many factors that could stop the 50 attack wolverine from totally ruining the opponent. Especially when you need to have that kind of god draw with the help of alfred and hope that your opponent doesn't have any defensive tricks or more than one character to reinforce each other.Kinda fragile for me to build the deck around it.
TheDarkAlliance
What kind of factors that people actually play?

You obviously play Blindsided before doing anything else.
TheDarkKnightReturns
Well there is Heroic.........Sacrifice.....
Also, SFs wouldn't care, they'd just evade if you pumped your dude ( in other words you would never pump wolverine that high against them) to reset the attack.
GK hybrids have fizzle.
Other decks have Overload.
The whole pump-the-hell-out-of-this-guy-and-smash-you strategy is inherently risky and no-one I've heard of has placed highly in a tournament using it.
But its always fun, so play it at a friday night tournament I say.

This deck has fizzle too!

If the combo requires the amount of cards Ike E Bear mentions which is 7 out of 12 drawn without calculating cards that Alfred fetch and now we include blind sided and also fizzle...that is really hard isn't it??

you gotta draw 9 of those cards out of the 12 cards drawn and at the same time if you do not have alfred....hmmm,a bit too shaky to me. plus if you are going to use alfred, the deck would need a team up to go with it and also another character to team up with alfred or else he is unable to find those relevant plot twist early.

It strikes me as a pretty dumb deck, if that is what it is aiming to do. I usually hesitate to criticise things that strongly, but that's like saying "i'll make a deck that needs a god draw, and whenever I get one I will win". What a surprise.

If it is just meant as a fun combo deck, that you celebrate 1 game in 10, good for it.

Noooooo! This deck rated a feature deck article at a 10K. Needless to say it didn't make the finals. But at a 10K where supposedly 3-4 got money, maybe it was succesful (!!!!) .

I haven't playtested it, but it looks soooo fallable. Is it just me?
Ike E Bear
Cops and Tim Drake should make it faily easy to get Alfred going (or Bat-Signal for him on turn one) pretty easily.
That's not the problem, the problem is how lucky you have to be to draw the other cards and go off unhindered.
It is very fallible.
I imagine that turn five is actually the more common turn to go off, as it'd be a lot easier to get a thing.gif up to critical damage (probably only four or so cards).
If you also have Crystal on four, then you should be able to pick an unreinforceable target.
Anyway, I definitely wouldn't run a deck like this competitively.

Edit - One copy each of Foiled and Ka-Boom! when you're trying to finish the game on turn six at the very latest seems super random. And why even bother with the team ups?

what will good a spider-firend deck combo?
Cool Zero
hows abourt this combo

opening hand longshot, speed demon, team tactics, doc ocks lab

1st turn: drop doc ocks labd, long shot and hitting 2 megablasts and 2 flying kick
