General VSParadise Forum Rules
1. Posts with swearing will have swear words edited out:
Swear words are defined as any word not allowed in a PG rated TV show or movie. Swear words may be represented as asterisks only (eg. the use of **** is acceptable, the use of ****ing or #$&* are not acceptable). If in doubt about whether the word is acceptable or not, do not use it or mask it by asterisks. Any forum member not following these guidelines will be warned and their post edited to mask the offending words with asterisks. Warnings will be in effect for one week. If the forum member continues to ignore this rule during the warning period, they will be subject to banning for a period of time decided by a moderator.
2. Offensive images and avatars will be removed:
Offensive images and avatars are defined as any image which includes swearing, nudity, violence and racially and/or sexually derogatory connotations. Any forum member not following these guidelines will be warned via PM and their post edited or deleted. Warnings will be in effect for one week. If the forum member continues to ignore this rule during the warning period, they will be subject to banning for a period of time decided by a moderator.
3. Posts that include comments about other forum members will be deleted or edited at the request of the subject of comments.
Requests to removed comments will be made via Personal Message (PM) to the forum moderators. Upon receiving a request to remove personal comments, the moderating team will PM the posts creator asking them to edit out the comments in their post. If post is not edited within 24 hours the moderating team may choose to edit comments from post or delete post from forum. An example of this rule in practice would be if a post was made in comiseration of the passing of a family member of a forum member. The forum member could ask for this to be removed as it caused emotional stress to the forum member.
4. Posts deemed to be personal attacks will be deleted or edited.
Posts deemed to have a negative impact on the reputation of a forum member may be removed immediately by the moderating team without a request from the subject of the comments. This includes swearing at any forum member and/or racially and/or sexually derogatory comments made against a forum member. Any forum member not following these guidelines will be warned and their post deleted or edited. Warnings will be in effect for one week. If the forum member continues to ignore this rule during the warning period, they will be subject to banning for a period of time decided by a moderator.
5. Repeat/double posts will be deleted.
Any posting of identical comments timestamped within 5 minutes of each other will be deleted.
6. Consecutive posts will be deleted.
Any forum member who posts consecutively in a forum thread will be PM'ed by the moderating team and asked to edit comments from their consecutive post into their previous post. The consecutive post will then be deleted. If the post is not edited within 24 hours the consecutive post will be deleted. Any forum member not following these guidelines will receive a warning. Warnings will be in effect for one week. If the forum member continues to ignore this rule during the warning period, they will be subject to banning for a period of time decided by a moderator.
Please note that this rule does not apply to 'bump' posts. A 'bump' post is a post designed to keep a thead active in a forum. Each thread is allowed one 'bump' post per 24 hours where the post shall be started with the word bump. Any forum member who 'bumps' a thread more than once per 24 hour period will receive a warning via PM. Warnings will be in effect for one week. If the forum member continues to ignore this rule, they will be subject to banning for a period of time decided by a moderator.
Any forum member abusing the the 'bump' post privilege by 'bumping' random posts will receive a warning via PM from the moderating team. Warnings will be in effect for one week. If the forum member continues to ignore this rule, they will be subject to banning for a period of time decided by a moderator.
7. VSParadise will not be held responsible for any trading conducted in these forums.
All transactions are between the involved parties only. You assume all the risk.
8. Not a guaranteed service.
These forums are not guaranteed to be online and functioning properly everyday of the year. Although we do our best to keep them online and operating, there will be downtime. We will always try and warn first for any planned maintenance (see the forum status forum).
9. The opinions expressed by individuals within the forums DO NOT represent the opinions of VSParadise or its staff.
10. In regards to Avatars please make sure you have rights to use a particular avatar from another site.
i.e. that you own or have rights to the image, especially in regards to copyrights and that you have permission to call or "pull" the image from whatever server on the net you are linking to.
Please note that the moderating team asks that spam posts be kept to a minimum. The moderating team does not wish to censure forum members or stop them having fun on this site but would ask that posts be relevent to their topics. Spam may include:
* Random one word comments.
* Comments that add little or no value to the topic.
* Comments that do not express a point of view/opinion.
* Off topic non-segued commentary/random commentary.
