webmaster
Please be aware of the following when trading in this forum:

Rules specific to Sales and Auctions Forum

1. This is a primarily Australian/New Zealand forum. If you are trading from outside these countries, please specify on your list.

2. Unless stated otherwise, currency is Australian Dollars (AUD).

3. This is a sales/auction forum, not a card trade forum. Card trading is to be conducted in the Have and Want Lists forum.

4. It is assumed that all cards are in near mint-mint condition, and are in English. Please note on your list if this is not the case.

5. Please state any preferences for send order or specific packing on your list. If you do not send first, please specify, as there are people who will object to being told when/how to send.

6. Look up the Member References forum if you are unsure about a user's trading history or trustworthiness. If at all unsure, don't trade.

7. The sale of boxes or boosters of cards is not permitted.

8. No selling of retails products anywhere on VSParadise (this includes packs, sleeves, deckboxes, dice, etc)

General VSParadise Forum Rules

1. VSParadise will not be held responsible for any trading conducted in these forums. All transactions are between the involved parties only. You assume the risk.

2. Not a guaranteed service. These forums are not guaranteed to be online and functioning properly everyday of the year. Although we do our best to keep them online and operating, there will be downtime. We will always try and warn first for any planned maintenance (see the forum status forum).

3. Only one up post per day. An up post is a reply to a topic specifically to move that topic to the top of the forum list.

4. General politeness is expected. Abuse, swearing, name calling and offensive language will not be tolerated and will result in a warning. Three warnings and your name will be handed to the webmaster for account review.

5. If for any reason you would like a post removed from the forums please contact a forum moderator or the webmaster. Make sure you provide a link to the topic and explain why you want it removed.

6. The opinions expressed by individuals within the forums DO NOT represent the opinions of VSParadise or its staff.

7. In regards to Avatars please make sure you have rights to :

"Rules for Auctions

1. What currency. If you're taking trades as well as cash, please specify what you value the cards you want at smile.gif makes it easier this way.

2. Condition of card(s)... try and use an established/mentioned scale on condition. If in doubt, try post a scan.

3. How often the high bidder status is updated.

4. Bid recounts/bids should specify who the high bidder is and the amount.

5. How often the 'going, going, gone' will be updated, and if possible the start date (and if possible an end date)

6. All auctions MUST have the reserve values revealed from the start. If there's an auction with a minimum bid but no reserve value, it will automatically be assumed that the minimum bid is the reserve.
Mods and admin will shut down auctions that do not follow these guidelines. These auctions will only be opened up again upon the revelation of the reserves.

7. State if postage is included, and a traceable mail offer should be extended to account for mail loss. This way it becomes the liability of the buyer once the envelope brushes the lip of the postbox.

8. Private message bids are fine so long as the auctioneer then states who the high bid is to and the amount. This negates the need for private message bids, but whatever makes you happy.

9. How soon payment is expected once the auction closes.

10. An auctioneer is held to their offer to sell. Once a bid is put on (or in the event of a reserve auction, a reserve breaking bid), the auctioneer cannot break the auction. It's poor conduct. If you're not sure you want to sell, then don't. PLEASE try not to break auctions... It just winds up irritating a lot of people.

11. Bid retractions are tricky and should be avoided. Please try to contact the auctioneer before you retract your bid.

12. Sales/Auctions forums are for use by individuals to trade/sell/buy cards. They are not to be used by stores, actual or online, to transact business. We have advertising spots available for stores if they are interested.

13. Sales/Auctions forums are not to be used to advertise/sell retails goods. This includes boxes, packs, sleeves and accessories.

Rules regarding References

1. This forum is for posting comments about a member in regards to a transaction completed with them. By doing this you are helping future members who may be interested in trading with this user get an idea on what to expect.

2. If both members agree upon the final transaction and someone backs out then the other member is entitled to post feedback regarding the transaction. In this case it is best to contact a moderator first to get approval and protection from subsequent 'revenge' references. Members are also allowed to post feedback for failed transactions that wasted a lot of time, money or both.

3. A 'revenge' reference is a reference posted by a member who recieved a bad reference from another member, and they have posted a bad reference in return for revenge. If someone has posted a revenge reference for you, contact a moderator. The moderator will talk to both parties to work out if the revenge reference should be deleted. A moderator may delete subsequent revenge references posted by the infringing member and further action may be taken in regards to that member.

4. Your references thread is for other people to post references for you. Any posts made by you in your own reference thread (beyond the thread creation post) will be deleted.

5. The more details you leave here the better. Potential feedback could be transaction type (auction, cards trade, card purchase/sale), value of transaction, efficiency, communications standard, distance between traders (was it an International trade or same city), postal or face to face transaction, good/bad points, etc etc.

6. If you recieve a bad reference you do have 'right of reply' to that bad reference. To exercise this right, you need to PM a moderator with your statement and they will add it to the bad ref. Your right of reply statement may be edited by the moderator depending upon content, language and legibility.

7. Don't take one or two negative feedbacks as a sign of a bad trader, but always remain wary. Sometimes things just can't be controlled such as postal delays or Internet downtime and remember there are always two sides to every transaction. If you are looking for a bad traders list check the pinned posts in the Bad Trades forum."
