these two decks seem to be the top tier decks right now but TT seem to die against CE when they play reign of terror and 7 drop thing, but flame trap is not that much a trouble for me...

any guys know what to do for TT agaisnt CE???
Matt
I've been wondering the same thing. TT just has too much trouble overcomming the two major setbacks it's given when Doom comes down on turn 4 and then then Thing on turn 7, not to mention Appoc. to finnish it off on turn 8. The most you can hope for is to Ka-Boom DS and Throne Room to keep the game from reaching the later drops.
Cool Zero
Throne Room? People, Doom has moved his digs into an apartment block in Latveria and thus no longer uses the throne room... except to impress the chicks!

With that said, CE will be played because there are people out there who think they can still out race Doom and Thing by running weenies... they will never learn

Yep, this is a bad, bad match up for Titans.
Early Ka-Boom! on Doomstadt is the only viable path to possible victory, but I still don't see it as being overly helpful.
CE is built to beat this deck.
If Titans wants to go for HaB! instead of K-B! then it mucks CE around a bit more. I've found that CE hates to have it's team-up torched.
I'm not really sure if that's a viable strategy for the deck, though, because it'll weaken it against other decks.

Wiz - I suppose you could take some heart that in the most recent 10K in the US, Victory beat Justice (who was playing CE) with TT.
His build included Terra and USS Argus, as well as optitron and other stuff that a lot of Titan decks around here aren't seemingly sporting.
Maybe that's your answer, to introduce that aggro-control element with Roy Harper and Terra (in conjunction with more locations).
That opens you up a bit to Big Brotherhood, though, in my opinion.

oh i play both harper and terra....but not argus....

BUT still can't get rid of that stupid reign of terror crap!!!

Well, if they don't recruit Dr Doom on turn four, you're pretty sweet.
CE - nay Doom in general - struggles whenever the good doctor fails to make his house call.

Did you read the write up on Metagame? the CE player got a craptastic draw and had to flare for Invisible woman t4, he lost game 1
Game 2 he got a good draw and won game 2...made doom t4
Game 3 missed his 4 drop and lost.
Basically if you miss your 4 drop doom against titans you are in a lot of trouble.
Have a read of the report at metagame and you will see why CE lost.
TT is a great match up fot CE and barring any draw problems. From memory the 2 games that CD lost he didn't get a common enemy out either, he must have been mighty pissed, no doom, no team up unsure.gif

As you can tell, If the finals were 1 Match games, you would see that consistency would overrule CE...CE is good for every thing BUT mirror matches and bad draws.

To beat CE you really have to rely on a bad draw on CEs part. Also you will need to eliminate Doomstadt early, before Faces or Boris hits the table. If you can successfully do this you will have a great advantage when turn 4 rolls around. Contrary to some beliefs, this deck does not RELY on Common Enemy, I have actually seen some fine games where CE does not even touch the table....

in the 10k i actually played both kabooms and foiled to keep me under curve...but alas it did no good...when i needed kaboom i have foiled in the resource row andwhen i needed the foiled....i'm already dead... sad.gif

The plan i had against Common Enemy was to use Finishing Move to make sure my creature advantage was permanent and to make team-ups difficult. I used Roy Harper aggressively to keep 4-drop Doom stunned for as much of the game as you can. The matchup can be improved a lot using this plan. The matchup is still not very good. However, I think my build of TT (minus Cassie Sandsmark, which i think is bad; still not sure whether Titans Tower>Twin Firearms) is very good if u expect a field of Brotherhood, CE and TT.

This seems much better than my plan, which was to just try to avoid it all day, and when I DID hit it, forget completely what 4 drop doom does, but still manage to pull off a win against DXu in a feature match smile.gif

CE seems so boring to play - it's supposed to do the same thing every turn..
Wizardboyiq
yes even with the unsurprise advantage and the predictability of what the the ce player will do...ce still can kick tt...well maybe except alex's build... tongue.gif
