The 10k events are big to all VS players. Many are willing to travel interstate just to compete. Even if the plane ticket is a couple of hundred dollars and the chance you might no finish in the prize money.

I'm from Melbourne and hardest thing i found (besides catching the plane, i missed it last time due to wild partying the night before, but quickly booked another, long story...) is accomodation.

I wonder if there are VS players out there willing to provide hospitality for the 10k weekends. I know i would be happy to extend my house as accomodation for the next Melbourne 10k. I might even cook migga's famous scrambled eggs if u wake me up. plus i live 10 mins from the airport.

What do people think? We do call ourselves a VS Community?

If i am living out of home again come Sydney 10K (likely), i am more than happy to have people sleep at my house.

Canberra has its moments - albeit few and far between. Gus' Cafe is one of them - that place rocks.

Haha'... yeah, I've yet to run my earlier offer past the wife.
We might all have to sleep out in the garage ... the problem being that I'd have to keep sleeping out there long after the locust-like swarm of gamers had departed.

My intention was not for people to open the doors do hoards and fleets of gamers. I just thought it would be cool if vs players organised accommodation between themselves come the big 10k tournaments.

i thought this would be a good place to open the forum. i'd happy to share my home come Melbourne 10k. In exchange, it would be cool if i could get the accomodation returned at the upcoming Brisbane or Sydney 10k. it would be a cool system between vs players.

V. cool idea, when I have solid dates for Sydney I should have a few spare slots at mine. Just gotta make sure my bro is cool with it.

Canberra sucks (despite some good folk being stuck there) and I still want to see it wiped from the face of the earth in a rain of fire and urine.
