As I pack my bags for UDE, I decided it would be a good time to thank everyone who has been involved in not just the last Melbourne 10k, but through everything about the great game. I hope to do all you guys proud on the other side of these cards. This VS(paradise) community is one of the best and most diverse groups of people out there, and it is a privilege to be part of it (even though I didn't wear the good ol Red and Whites - sorry Scott H
) You guys are what makes this game fun and such a success in Australia. Even though there are infinite people to thank - I'll just mention a few who deserve particular mention for my own experience.The guys:
Andrew (cornstar) - This gaming life. This man is a living embodiment of why its great to game. We met each other playing games over 10 years ago - and even through all the GTs and BTs, we are still best friends. You are tops (and better at VS than you are at MTG
)Luke - from the very first Bastion trade (for Feral Rage no less
) as well as various other hijinks along the way you have kept me laughing all the time. Thanks for all the late night lifts - and the INFINITE geeky discussions (ie who would win in a fight - Zangief or MacGuyver). You are a terrific mate and the true master of the Brotherhood!Alex - as a teammate from that other game we had some history - and some differences of opinion. Thanks for keeping me grounded - and all the GTs and infi misings4l. You are a great gamer - one that I am proud to have called a teammate.
Scott S - A great guy and a loyal mate. Just learn to tone down the swearing and you'll be a great teacher to the next generation of gamers (scary! jk).
Ray - Soul brother, who is always having fun even during Bad Times. You shoulda joined me da DC side with Sliggas Pls - you wouldn't have been beaten by the kids that play CE there ;D
Scott H - for a fifty year old (lol jk) you really know how to games. Jokes aside - it has been fun and enjoyable to have fellow gamer4l to discuss the greater things in life with.
DJogs - Gaming is MEAT for vegans. Always and ever the gamer - Jogs is always there to help and game with any of my crazy creations. And also to talk about life in general. Every man should have a friend like Jogs. I guess thats why they made Hunger Jogs ARMY.
PaulR(MPM) - for the "Discussions of the Day". You are a great friend, who has always kept me interested for years - fromn cards to movies to personal life! In your new role as rules guru - I hope you find what you are after from games

You guys gave me direction and the year in Melbourne was definitely life changing and put me on the right path. We had some great times and I'd like to formally thank you. It was good to see Heaven again rockin better than ever.
