The time has come. We've been anticipating it. The news is out:
VS (Marvel) $10,000US Tournament
When: September 11-12th
Where: Mercure Hotel - 818-820 George St, Sydney
Format is constructed
There will be $10,000US worth of prizes to be distributed, down to 20th place. The winner takes home a cool $2,500US in cash (approx. $3,500 Australian Dollars).
The event will happen on the 11th in a single-day.
On the 12th there will also be a PCQ, with an additional $1,000US in cash to be awarded.
This is the first of many $10,000 tournaments to be held in Australia and New Zealand.
A special rate has been negotiated with the hotel that the event is located at. To get this rate, call (02) 9217 6666 and mention that you want the special rate for the Upper Deck Event.

How much is the "special rate" at the Hotel?
I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who's attendence will depend upon expediture.

What time does everything start?
This will be my first Vs tournament (damn I wish something would happen here in Canberra) so I figure I'll need to get some kind of UDE card/number.
Should I be doing this before the tourney? If yes, how?
Or, can I do it on the day? If yes, should I get there a bit earlier so that I don't gum up the works?
Sorry for what are probably simple questions, but I don't want to be caught with my pants down ... no one wants me to be caught with my pants down.

Another option if you're up on Friday night is to come to SGC and get the UDE card or fixed up then.

Do we need to bring our own deck list or will we need to fill in some sort of official UDE one on the day?

If you bring a typed or clear (easy to read) deck list that is fine.
Deck lists will be there for your use on the day however.
Note: We will not be accepting any credit cards on the day (we can only accept cash or cheques) for the entry fee for the 10k event (which is $20).
Thanks

Hey Chris,
What was the C value (K value) of the 10K?
Looks to have gone through at 10 - is that right?
