Hi, my name is Ean Press, (eman) on the forums. In this
column I will write about the casual side of Vs. and anyone who has read
my writing before, knows that I just love to Rally against Defeat, while
showing the casual side of Vs. at my local card shop.
After months of intense studying of top 8 decks, playtesting, building and constructing my idea of the best deck for myself, I have resulted in somewhat of a stand-off. A stand-off to me is when I just can't seem to build the right deck with the right mix of everything.
God knows I have made non-contending decks, and I'd love to give some advice to the newer players to this wonderful game. I started out like most people, picking a deck that I saw and that I liked, (New Gods.)
Alex Shvartsman made his announcements and we began round
one with the New Gods Deck. Apparently, I ended up being the only one there with a straight New Gods deck, and the only other two were teamed-up and definitely
not as good, no offense or anything.
In this issue of Rally, I'd like to talk about a card. Yes
one card that was played on me in the 2 sealed pack Green Lantern tournaments that I have been in so far. Solomon Grundy, Born on a Monday.
Bust out GLC - May 04, 2005
After opening the packs, it was obvious to me what deck I
wanted to build, Green Lantern and Anti-matter. With concealed-optional, as most of the Anti-Matter characters have, proved to be an invaluable mechanic
on my way up the curve in most games.
